This kit uses a 3 degree "monoblock" type fitting. The 3 degree monoblock fits a 40mm
feed support boss and so the block can be fitted with the 16E LNB prioritised
in the middle of the boom arm for maximum signal to the weaker satellite.
The "side kick" LNB can then be set for the stronger satellite of 13E or 19E.
Some companies sell this monoblock to fit a none standard 60mm clamp.
Most dishes do not have a 60mm clamp. If fitted in a 60mm clamp, the two LNBs
sit on either side of the boom arm and equal signal is received by each LNB.
This is not ideal as 16E needs more signal and should be prioritised. Therefore, our
40mm kit is better for this 16E application. The second satellite can be either Astra 1
or Hotbird depending on what side of the boom arm the second LNB is set to.

Heavy duty motorised dish kits and larger dishes.
In exposed locations and with larger dishes it is best to use heavier duty 36-volt motors. 36-volt
motors are larger and more powerful. This extra power comes from the V Box (a type of power supply) and a 4-wire
control cable. It all works automatically with the receivers own remote control.
Our recommendations.
1. In very high wind load situations use a 36-volt motor kit.
2. In all other situations the excellent Technomate Diseqc motor shown in the kits above is fine up
to 90cm steel dishes and up to 1.0m aluminium dishes but for larger dishes, heavier 36-volt motors
must be used. Remember, with big dishes, big lumps of metal (heavy motors) are needed to withstand winds,
not software and promises!

In the early days of satellite most dishes were prime focus. These days most dishes are offset.
It is two ways of doing the same job but prime focus dishes point upwards and look purposeful.
From the appearance point of view they are usually the enthusiast favorite. This one is
made of aluminuim and is one piece. (As a general rule, aluminium is preferable to steel
and 1-piece tends to be more efficient that "petalised" or segments.) This attractive dish
comes complete with a very heavy duty fixed mount, a prime focus Invacom adjustable feedhorn

This motor unit is exclusive to the Satellite Superstore. Polar mount with aluminum adapter to fit

The polar mount picture above shows a standard 12 inch actuator but we include the HEAVY DUTY

The heavy duty actuator is, longer, thicker and much stronger.
The light-weigh (but very strong) aluminum adapter bracket fits onto the back of the Raven

1.8m dish option - Ground Stand
for the 1.8m motorised dish
Manufactured by the Satellite Superstore.
This is our own stand. It is 1.25m high and uses a
76mm (3.0") pole. Heavy 6mm thick angle is used along the base and the angle dimensions are 60mm by 60mm.
There are 12 holes for fixing down to concrete or paving. 4 in each angle. See bottom right picture.
It is etch-primed and pained black. The final coat of paint is baked in an oven dried.
The stand is bolted together to make it easy to ship. A fully welded stand of this size could not
be transported with a courier and would need a (expensive) haulage company, so this stand bolts
together. Multiple bolts are used for maximim rigidity. The stand is heavy but it needs to be.
This stand is designed for our motorised version of the 1.8m Raven dish.

With the 1.8m stand above, for motorised use, to make the pole plumb, we would recommend at least 6 feet
and preferable 9 although up to 12 can be used. It will therefore be necessary to add this option more than once.

Discounted system option - Wall mounts
for dishes from 80cm to 1.0m
50mm Diameter South facing wall mount (T Mount).
T Mount - 480mm stand off.
Elbow 1D - 430mm stand off.
These mounts are ideal for use with the Technomate Diseqc motor.
These mounts are not manufactured by Satellite Superstore (the
heavy duty mounts are)
but they are fine in all but the most exposed locations. The T mount is constructed
with galvanised steel. The Elbow is treated with electroplated steel. The Elbow is 4 bolt fixing
and the T mount uses 6 bolt bolt fixing. Both are strong low cost solution for most situations.
If a dish is on a south facing wall, a large stand off may not be required.
If looking up or down the street the elbow with have enough stand off for an 80 or
85cm dish but the T mount may be needed with a 90cm or 1.0m dish.
