These are the new Titanium second edition 0.2dB LNBs that are widely praised on many web sites.
The second edition has the gold connections and is very low noise. An ultimate performance LNB.
The stand has holes at the end of the legs for pinning down with tent pegs. This is the new deluxe
model - now with a 500mm height extension to go up to 1.8m if required. Ideal for looking over hedges.

This dish kit works far better than those small, often only 45cm, caravan dishes from caravan centres.
It will work great in the UK and should get all Sky channels as far south as Paris however we would
recommend the 80cm kit below if you intend going to the south of France. A digital compass upgrade is

Folding arm solid and transparent dishes.

Triax dishes have a folding boom arm. The one shown above is an 90cm but the 60, 80, & 90cm are the same
Most specialist caravan dishes are too small. If the dish is to be used throughout Europe and the UK,
it needs to be at least 60cm diameter - you cannot change the laws of Physics! Small caravan dishes do NOT work.
Finding this out on the camp site is not an ideal situation. Here are some recommendations - UK, Northern France
(e.g. Normandy), Holland, Northern Germany: - use a 60cm solid or clear dish. (A Sky mini dish is at least 10%
smaller than ideal even for the UK !! It is only small to make it look unobtrusive, however, as it does not fold
and mesh tends to be easily dented or bent so it is not ideal for a caravan / portable use.) Paris : - use an 80cm.
South of France : - use an 85 - 90cm. Spain : - Tune to the south beam and use an 80 anywhere. The north beam
in Spain : - Costa Brava, 1.0m - Madrid 1.2m The South of Spain, 1.6 to 1.8 - Alicante 2.4m (for more details
see SPAIN) Northern Italy : - 1.0m but may not get all channels. 1.2m for all channels. (you could use a 90 cm
and get some channels but maybe not the lower power ones.) Storage : - Lie dish on bed (or in boot) when
traveling. On site slide under caravan until you are ready to set it up. That way it is never in the way.
We strongly advise customers to set up their caravan kit in their garden before going away. It is important
to practice setting it all up and solving problems at home when it does not matter if there are learning delays.

Advice on satellite meters.

Please read this before moving down to the products.
There are two types of customer,
1. A customer buying a satellite system for their home intending to fit it themselves.
This type of customer don’t mind spending an hour or so fiddling around with a sub Ł40
budget satellite meter as they know it is a one-off install and it is worth saving the
money and putting up with the inconvenience of a budget meter.
2. Professional installers and caravan users. These people want to set up real fast and
once assembled, a professional meter (at around Ł260) takes only a few minutes to find the
satellite. Caravan users can set up and get on with there holiday without the frustration
of all the trial and error searching needed with budget meters.
Note. Some caravan users prefer not to take this advice and take only the budget meter.
A far proportion come back to us after their holiday with comments like
“yes you were right. – not going through that again – send me a decent meter”.

When upgrading from a standard receiver to a Sky +, the LNB needs changing to this new one (included) and an
extra cable needs fitting. When replacing an existing Sky Plus, the LNB will not need replacing but having
a spare LNB in stock means that at some point in the future when the LNB fails, you will have a spare one.
One of the other LNB outputs could be used for an existing Digibox if required.
The Sky + has a built in hard drive and can record up to 80 hours of programming.
This is the reliable Pace TDS470N 160 Gb Sky Plus.
This is not an upgraded 40Gb unit. It comes direct from Pace with the 160Gb hard drive already fitted.
(The Pace web site quotes 160Gb but a large amount of the drive is used for the Sky operating system and

The record menus are an integral part of the electronic program guide and so the operation is extremely
simple. Much easier to use than a VCR. Please note that a Sky+ must be used with a Sky subscription if
the hard drive is to be used for recording. It cannot be used just for free to air channels or with
a “Freesat card” as the hard drive would not work. If upgrading or changing from an existing
box / card / subscription, Sky must activate the card to work with the new Sky+ or the hard drive
will not work. A phone call to Sky is all that is needed to do this.

Mobilsat controller, satellite receiver.

Tracks while travelling.

The mobilsat is like the type of domes they use on ships. It automatically tracks a
satellite while on the move. While driving, rear seat passengers can watch satellite TV.
The dish is equivalent to a 40cm unit and so it works on 28E (e.g. Sky TV or the BBC) and
it will also work on some of the higher power channels on Astra 1 and Hotbird.
As the vehicle turns, the dish rotates in the dome and tracks the channel.
The control unit is just like a car radio and fits a radio slot. This control unit is also a
satellite receiver. This control unit / receiver simply connects to the dome with a standard satellite
coaxial cable. 12 volts is connected and the control unit is connected to a TV with a lead. All
very simple to set up. The control unit receiver also has an LNB loop through so it could loop
out to a Sky Digibox if required. Many satellites can be tuned in and the menu structure
is simple and easy to use from the remote control provided.
If fitted to an SUV, the dome could be bolted to a small roof rack and quickly fitted for longer trips.

Satcatcher satellite meter TV

Identifies the satellite, provides spectrum information and allows the checking of the satellite
with a built in satellite receiver and TV. Works on both picture and sound. Many satellites in the memory.
Case included. Mains charger and car charger included. USB lead for upgrading the software included.
The car charger is actually a small inverter and so this means that from the car, fast charging is possible.
The meter comes in a strong padded case. This meter only weighs 892 grams - light to carry!
This meter also switches a Diseqc switch and drives a Diseqc motor east and west.
45 satellites are stored and identified between 45 east and 45 west.

SPECTRUM Analyzer FUNCTION: See the peaks of the transponder you are looking for. Save the picture
to memory for later use. Store 8 pictures of your most used satellites.
Some Engineers have used very expensive devices for many years to view the spectrum picture of the incoming satellite
signals. These devises are costing thousands of Pounds and without exception are difficult to set up and use.

How big a dish can I carry in Spain?

The biggest dish we do with a folding arm is the Triax TD 88 90cm dish.
This will work in most of Europe including southern France but will struggle Spain,
only working North of Barcelona on all channels. It will work in all of Spain on some
channels but the weakest channels are the BBC and ITV and they really need a 1.0m dish
by the time you get to Barcelona and bigger even further south.
We have sold the excellent 1.0m Aluminum Funke dish to tourers in Spain as this dish
is light and quite easy to carry but it does not have a folding arm and 4 bolts need
taking out to remove the reflector. Buying some wing nuts will make this process faster.
The Triax 1.1m dish which might work on the weakest channels as far south as Madrid
is a big heavy dish to carry and could, with some modification have a folding arm.
The arm does fold like the TD 88 but the reflector would need cutting with a hacksaw
above where the arm comes through to give it the clearance to fold without the reflector
getting in the way. It will fold if this modification is done.
